Small businesses are, generally speaking, worse to work for than large businesses bc large businesses have at least some fear of regulators.

So, yeah. Worker collectives. Preferably ones large enough that there can be some smoothing of the ability of individuals to exploit small scale power dynamics.

And there are all sorts of practical questions that crop up. How do we get paid family leave? Technically, it’s easy for big corporations to pay for 12 weeks. The solution is regulation. Small ones can’t; we need other solutions for those workers—who deserve similar protections.
