I hereby predict: If Pete Buttigieg makes it to the general, he will at some point express skepticism about trans identity to reassure voters he's not "too extreme" on LGBTQ rights.

Oh, definitely not. If he wasn't a turd I wouldn't suspect this would eventually happen. There are turds in all groups, cis gay men don't have more than their share. But, often I've noticed that cis gay men who are turds tend to have a problem with lesbians and/or trans people.
