I didn't have the words "gender dysphoria" at the time. After my symptoms became sub-clinical I was so overjoyed that I would never have agreed I had any remaining issues at all. I transitioned about 5 years after that, and would have told you my dysphoria was minor.

I no longer experience daily gender dysphoria at all, but when it does come up I recognize it in a way I never could have done at the time. All I had were symptoms and the evidence of what relieved them (men's clothing, testosterone) and what didn't (therapy, ED treatment, meds).
