Trans guy here- great thread. I do benefit from the patriarchy, at times. And, I have the same tendency towards unthinking sexist attitudes that anyone else who grew up in a deeply sexist culture might. Often those tendencies come more from a male lens than a female lens.
But, I am often viewed more like a woman than a man. The main reason that is a problem & a barrier to me is sexism. So, I am a victim of anti-woman attitudes, while still being a man & being no more pure in my attempts to fight internalized sexist attitudes than anyone.
