How can a trans-masc adult support trans-femme youth? I think my foster kids are drawn to the fact that I'm trans, but not feminine- bc of negative messages they've gotten about femininity in others & themselves. How do I show them femininity is OK without being femme myself?

Hah. Probably guilty of trying to hard from time to time. These kids are real scared of being themselves. It’s hard to see- but you can’t do it for em and who among us wasn’t scared to be ourselves at that age.

exactly my point. i remember being the 5'10 white guy,trying out for basketball at my new black high school. or when i went out for fb,and everyone looked at me,when coach asked "who's going out for qb?". i wanted to play wr, and S, but my hand went up.

i know, but to a teenage kid,in the moment? it sucks. esp when their grown ups have forgotten that, or dont even try to understand,as your kids have experienced,im sure.
