I wish Buck Angel wasn’t the closest thing we had to a famous trans guy. I also wish that trans women supported trans men they liked as vociferously as they denounced the assholes.

I’m gonna say, respectfully, in my opinion, people should take a step back and listen to me. I’ve been called all kinds of names, told its privilege when I’m treated as a woman, piled on. All for wishing for more trans masc role models, more voice for us in the community.

I won’t claim there weren’t moment where I responded in kind, and I regret that. But, my being hurt at an extremely intense, overwhelming, negative reaction to my advocating for my community does not mean I was wrong to do so.

Noone is faulting you for wanting more trans man role models. It's the other stuff that's the issue.
