And, I assume, if a child’s parents DIDN’T correct people about the sex of their child, and make certain all their teachers and friends knew their sex & corrected it mercilessly, you would consider this child abuse? However much happier the child was to not have this info shared?

..."mercilessly"... interesting.....Anyway, I would consider it odd to allow people to mistakenly think a girl with short hair wearing cargo pants is anything other than a girl with short hair wearing cargo pants. I also do not generally encourage children to lie or deceive.

So, to you, sex is so important it must be remarked upon at all times, and if ever anyone is mistaken, even briefly, about what a person's sex is they must be corrected, otherwise it is deception? That's not sex, that's gender. I thought you were critical of gender?

Sex is a material reality and it matters. Difference of sex has consequences. Treatments for various health conditions, access to relevant facilities, sports. And post puberty the differences and needs are multiple and obvious to those of us who accept material reality.

Denying or disguising your sex is just that, denial or disguise of a material reality. There are plenty of sensible and useful reasons to reveal sex and - from my point of view - very few, if any, to disguise or be ashamed of it.

Going from health conditions (rooted in biology) to sports (a pure social construct if there ever was one)... you're just completely confused about what the topic is. I'm sorry, further discussion won't be fruitful.

The truth is, you're not very bright. And when you feel confused or out of your depth you try to change the subject, or retreat back to territory where you think you're on firm ground. No idea why I wasted this much time. I'm angry at myself.

Why revert to personal insults ? Is that really necessary ? You may think I'm confused, but that may well be because you have not understood what I am saying. But OK. You carry on.

Not a personal insult, merely an acknowledgement of biological differences between the two of us.

"Not a very good argument", "incorrect", "flawed argumentation". Those are not a personal insults. "you're not very bright". That's a personal insult. Just for the record you understand. I would have thought a journalist would know the difference but there you go.

None of those are correct, though.
