TERFs treating me- a full adult man with a job and a family- like a crazy little victimized girl who can't make choices for myself is MADDENING.
I'd rather be called names and treated like a dangerous sexual predator, like they do to trans women. Trans men aren't given the respect of being seen as even potentially predatory. The sexist, feminized lens we're seen through doesn't permit us that much power.
It's always women, too. Conservative men who hate trans people will call me a girl & say I have no dick (TY for implicitly validating my gender, sir). A TERF will tell me she's there if I ever want to talk, because she lives in a fantasy world where I'm her lil baby daughter.
Trans men (and cis women!) shouldn't be treated like baby-victims. I was in my 30s, employed, married, & without mental issues other than dysphoria when I transitioned. I'm a foster parent of 2 youth. Whatever yr beliefs about gender identity, treat me as the grown adult I am.
