I changed my name and pronouns 2 yrs earlier than I'd have liked bc of the pressure from the trans community. It wasn't acceptable to say "I'm binary transitioning, and I prefer she/her pronouns until I pass". But I'd love for other people within the trans community to understand that some things that are talked about as being universally good have winners and losers. A preference for the wrong pronouns until you pass is not treated as an accepted, valid preference.

My gender dysphoria has to do with my body shape and form, only. Being gendered correctly in some spaces and misgendered in public was much, much worse than just being consistently misgendered. The corrective I needed was medical transition- I still don't care abt pronouns.
