I’d rather be called she forever without anyone batting an eye than have to specify a pronoun preference whenever I meet someone new. My dysphoria has always had to do with how my body looks and feels. I just don’t care about pronouns the way others do.
It feels like this is a place where the trans movement could grow a bit. It’s not an attack to say “hey... this thing you like? Not everyone likes it as much as you.”
It would be nice for folks to listen and accept that these pronoun circles make some of us uncomfortable. It doesn’t mean they have to change. But surely the “winners” of this can listen to the “losers” with compassion, and accept that everyone doesn’t feel the same.
