Because they are claiming *discrimination under law* If identifying as a woman allows a predatory male to threaten women with a discrimination lawsuit, that gender-based law needs to return to sex-based law, agreed?

No. Plenty of laws can be abused to threaten junk lawsuits as a form of harassment. That doesn't mean those laws should be abolished.

But this *specific* law, which is both recently drafted and unique to countries with a comparatively small population, is *particularly* open to exlloitation by predatory males like Yaniv. How might this *specific* law be changed, in your opinion?

It doesn't need to be changed, it just needs the case law behind it to make clear that this is reasonable differentiation and not discrimination.

Blokes with cocks? Reasonable differentiation I think. Your batshit fucking insanity may, of course, vary.

I'm not going to entertain a discussion of whether or not Yaniv is *actually* trans. You don't have to pretend that trans bodies and cis bodies are the same to respect the gender identity of trans people; that's not what anyone has been asking for.

That is EXACTLY what is being demanded when we are told some people have "women penises" or that lesbians are bigots for not being attracted to/dating trans women or that women should be forced, under penalty of law, to provide services on the penis and testicles of a woman.

Please point me to the trans advocacy group that is saying that lesbians who are only attracted to cis women are bigots or that equality legislation means what you say it means. Note: Tumblr doesn't count as a trans advocacy group.

I haven't said anything about the case, but I agree with the spa and expect the law will ultimately come down on that side, as it should. It's a weird case, and should really never have been brought.

I don't know if JY actually thinks the law says what they think it says, or if they are intentionally misrepresenting it. But I do think it's significant that they continued to harass the businesses. If I felt discriminated against I'd cease contact and go straight to the law.
