I'm probably going to be writing more about video games than trans issues in the future. Writing what feels like the same thing every time- that I too am a human being capable of reason and deserving of respect- began taking more and more of a toll.
If there was someone out there who wanted to throw money at me to endure it, maybe I would. But interest in LGBTQ writing seems to be falling off. In theory, maybe I'd love to fight back against that but in practice I think I'm gonna try writing fun things about games instead.
If there's one thing sex work taught me, it's that there's never shame in going where the money is. You take care of you.
