Someone who committed mass murder isn’t trolling. Whatever he’s doing, trolling isn’t the right word.

I guess I was also the worst thing on the internet at the time? Since then, the worst people on the internet have gotten a lot worse. And we kept using the same word for them, and what a troll was became worse and worse.

But at some point- and I submit that point is long past- this phenomenon we're talking about isn't recognizably trolling. Trolling is being disruptive because you think it's funny. Being funny because you think it might help start a race war isn't the same thing.
