"admission denials" sounds about right. It's just so ambiguous! Is the "admission" portion about solidarity with abused women, or about saying yup, that they did in fact do the things they were accused of, or near enough?
What I read into them is something like “I don’t remember that incident/see that incident the same way, but there are things I do remember that make me feel guilty.” But that’s just guessing, projection. I agree it’s weird! Especially to see 3 times!
