I've got a piece coming out tomorrow on the sexism underlying these beliefs about trans men being weak, silly girls who don't know their own minds and need to be protected from themselves.
We'd see these stereotypes for what they were if it was about denying women and girls checkbooks or the vote because of supposed weakness and susceptibility to peer influence. But it's less familiar when we're talking about trans men having the right to decide if we transition.
