I was doing pretty ok before I transitioned. I'd found ways to work around my dysphoria and had a pretty good life. Even so, everyone who knew me before would say there was a positive change. It's that undeniable.
I was nervous about side effects of testosterone, particularly negative emotional or mental effects. The overwhelming majority of trans men find we're calmer, happier, less anxious on T. We simply do not turn into rage monster stereotypes in any large numbers.
