There are political threats that affect some of us and ones that affect all of us. Nuclear war, war in general, economic collapse, and collapse of our democracy are threats that even some Republicans can see as uniquely present in 2018 due to the character of the president.
There are other threats that are ultimately threats to all of us that Republicans don't take seriously, like climate change. There are threats to some of us that neither Ds nor Rs take seriously enough, like the worsening position of labor. And there are threats to some of us.

Women's rights are threatened, as are LGBTQ, and people of color. But, I don't understand the allergy on the left to the idea of working together in the short term to avert the most recognized, highest order threats, or why it's cast as an elite-only affair- or a cynical one.

The President is dangerously unstable and, incidentally, a criminal. He must be impeached. And that's just not going to happen without the buy in from a hell of a lot of people whose politics I personally can't stand.
