We’ve had a travel ban on people because they are Muslim, child separation, kind words for white supremacists, and much, much else—for over 18 months. I’m tired of hearing powerful people get applause for the oh-so-courageous act of taking “veiled” shots at Trump.
I think there’s a framing problem. If it were “The worsening political situation in our country is so severe that this mainstream politician felt the need to politicize his own funeral. This should be a warning to all Americans.” I’d be on board.
