Here are two things that can both be true: 1. Trump is a symptom of pre-existing political dysfunction and systemic breakdown. 2. Trump is an unusually bad man to be president, especially at a difficult time.

I don't understand how these can be set in opposition, but logical constructions are not my strong point, lol.
People say, basically, that Trump isn't the problem, he's a symptom of larger issues. I'm saying yes, he is a symptom, but that doesn't make him less of a problem on his own.
