    Or rather, it is hip with the nerd culture/aesthete, or doctrinal kids like you, which is perhaps who you are more interested in (in which case, be honest with yourself), but the big box, big band, big music, big feelings thing is definitely way hipper.

    I've said it before, but it's worth saying again: if you're doing the liturgy, creedal thing because you think it's hip with the kids and what they really want instead of because it is true and God-honoring, you need to know it is, in fact, not hip with them.

    Please pray if you’re seeing this. What can happen on these high-wind days is a couple areas will light up fast, pulling firefighters in all different directions and causing whole counties to be surrounded by flames. Please pray!

    There is a small vegetation fire near Skyline Drive and Mission Hills Lane on the east end of Yorba Linda. OCFA is responding.

    Folks, I have students with houses near the fires. We're also in the middle of the Santa Ana winds. Pray for containment. They're already evacuating residents in some areas.

    6:47AM in the area of Santiago Canyon Rd / Silverado Canyon Rd. . firefighters on scene of a 10 acre fire, wind driven with a moderate rate of spread. Crews aggressively attacking the fire with air units en route.

    Okay, but what I will say is that the anointing is with the Spirit of Holiness without measure, so every time you're talking about 'Christ' there is holiness in the background.

    I’m not saying “messiah” means “divine.” I’m just saying that every anointing in the Bible is a vestige of the Trinity. That’s all.

    "for he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers" (Heb. 2:11). Jesus is not ashamed to call us family. He trusts in the sanctifying work of God and so he says, "yes, even these are my family."
