Are we ready to stop using the funnel yet? Yes!
Here are the slides from my #DevRelCon talk about the Orbit Model. Awesome to see the response so far. The GitHub repository has more info and I invite you to share your ideas and experience there! https://speakerdeck.com/dzello/communities-arent-funnels-try-the-orbit-model-instead …pic.twitter.com/wODOepbU4F

My eyes opened a lot moving from the US to Europe and working with non-native speakers, plus learning and trying to do some work in French. Native speakers can always do more to make non-native speakers more comfortable, and it’s always appreciated!

If you monitor whether your database is down or degraded, you should really do the same for APIs. Good post here from

Vish makes a great point here. If we label someone toxic, what's our commitment to helping them improve? Better to see behaviors as toxic but people as teachable and able to "bounce back" with the right guidance.https://twitter.com/VishwaMehta30/status/1222551675807731717 …

So here is a question... When we are talking about "Orbit Model Math" for developer segmentation, how are you identifying their "numbers" in order to hit the "Gravity = Love x Reach" number so you can segment them into their specific orbits?

I'm not explicitly a community manager, but I'd call them toxic, since they tend to spoil things for others

Factor? Or sentiment analysis? What else could we do to "measure" culture?
It avoids bottlenecks
It makes sure you use them
It helps identify fallback
