Writing on paper activates areas of brain associated with learning & memory... & writing cursive does even more. As a part of mobility recovery plan for long-term FQT-related disability, I relearned cursive this past summer, had noticeable improvement in both memory & creativity.
-
Funny - I also tried writing in cursive a couple of years ago for meeting notes and it was so much harder to skim over them later for key points. That didn't last long. May just be my problem...

A huge unfounded leap to apply this to K-12 schools or workplace meetings, e.g.,http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.3102/0034654316628645 …

In our team meetings, we jointly access and edit Google docs, check calendars, look at data, refer to online info, videoconference, etc.

I would have such a hard time with this. I took almost all my grad school notes on my computer & still sometimes refer back. It's so much easier to search & they are super detailed/helpful! I have even shared with others. Written notes just don't help as much with review.

you can't scribble on a laptop! my meeting notes have crap all over the page with arrows going everywhere, ticks & crosses plus some of my best ideas/doodles that have nothing to do with the meeting

-
...There are these things called "touchscreens" and you absolutely can, I've seen it XD

Done. Your article circulated with team & now laptops banned from my meetings (except for software training)
