    I just saw someone refer to queer as "the q slur" for the first time and I am exasperated because people literally died to reclaim that word for themselves and their loved ones you can choose how you would like people to address you but you don't get to demonize their ghosts

    The Sinema situation seems designed in a lab to refute the idea that she’s the most progressive sort of Dem who can be elected in AZ. Another Dem won statewide with a greater vote share *against the very same opponent after she’d been gifted incumbency* and voted for $15/hr.

    I still don’t even sort of understand this. Not a whole lot of unemployed people in WV or something?

    Senate adopts Wyden amendment extending federal unemployment benefits at $300 per week until September 6. Every Republican voted no (Sullivan was absent). Dems were forced to cut the benefit by $100/week due to objections from Manchin.

    Some House Dems going wobbly as Senate Dems make the bill worse and worse. There may be a limit at which normal Democrats say enough:
