I agree with this open letter from universities. No Deal is an avoidable disaster & Govt could & should be ruling it out, not using it as a threat to try to coerce MPs to support its blindfold Brexit. There is no consent to either. We need a

The Brexit politicians told such blatant lies in 2016 that they shouldn't be allowed to influence the public on Brexit now. So here's a quick thread of what they said to get us here:

People aren’t stupid they will see this as an irresponsible waste of their money - blatant political blackmail. A responsible PM would take “no deal” off the table NOW! And put ‘s “deal” v Remain to a

We have less than 90 days to save Britain from the consequences of a foolish decision that I, to my eternal shame, helped to make. May is useless. Corbyn is worse than useless. Sensible MPs need to step up. You represent the majority in Parliament.

The 'trial' with 150 lorries (have they got wheels or is this a boatless ship company kind of thing again?) is a joke: TWELVE THOUSAND lorries use Dover every day. When each of them has to queue because it takes hours for just one to clear customs...

David Davis argued for Brexit by saying we'd get to keep all the benefits of the Single Market then PERSONALLY negotiated a deal that removes those benefits. (Single Market = Shared EU rules + Anything made legally in UK is automatically legal across EU)

Good luck to you! Think how other nations will negotiate a new deal on food and medical supplies. Everything would be more expensive and think of distances items would have to come and environmental damage.

"EU Parliament can't initiate primary legislation" True. Still more democratic than the UK. Our 2 party system silences millions and unlike in the EU, the government usually holds a controlling majority so they decide which initiatives and amendments pass.

‘Britain will hold a trial run on Monday for dealing with long queues of lorries at Dover’ Does this include a trial run for the ferry company with no ferries? What will they be trialing - how to sail a ship? How to hire one? How to deliver pizzas?

Except you can't HAVE WTO UNTIL the 12 objections lodged BY OUR SO-CALLED ALLIES like Trumpville AGAINST UK Terms have been negotiated & adjudicated INDIVIDUALLY. Each taking an AVERAGE 7 years apiece for arbitration.

I would be more inclined to trust information from people at the sharp end than statements from the UK Government. Here's a tweet from a GP - you can see all manner of shortages being reported in the replies:

If 57% of tory members prefer no deal over May's deal... It still means that 'no deal' would be supported by ,what, 15% of the overall public? That's about the same proportion that think the moon is made of cheese...in fact they're the same people.

I just went to get my son’s Epi-pen prescription refilled and was told they’re out of stock due to a “national shortage.” ...is this actually a thing???

Whatever the results of this Brexiting nonsense we must address urgently the first past the post voting system. It's unfair and unrepresentative and a poor example from the so called mother of Parliaments.
