should be sad and interesting once "Covid season" takes hold in Australia, especially in the regions with the recent bush fires. My layperson guess: data will show that even short recent exposure to pollution like in rural AUS makes lungs more perceptible to severe Covid pathways

Pity the same people arguing for fossil fuels and against green energy are made of many of the same people who think this is "just the flu" or "a hoax" and believe 5G transports viruses. Otherwise we would be seeing people sabotaging coal plants and refusing to drive their cars
