Nice article but what the climate models leave out are the impacts of methane release in the Arctic. Common sense dictates no ice cover means warmer sea temperatures producing warmer permafrost means more methane means warmer sea temperatures means methane clathrate release.

In other words, it’s going to get much worse sooner. What you described in your previous article about the worse case scenarios will likely come true or even be worse. Just look at the estimates from 2008 and now and our CO2 emissions are even increasing.

And this has all happened before on earth. Climate change likely caused several mass extinctions during the last 250 million years or so. Of course, the emissions of CO2 were from volcanoes back then.

Another thing. Did your science critics know about the Paleoworld journal article published in December 2016? As a scientist I know that there isn’t always a lot of sharing of information from one scientific field to another. I tend to side with you here, it’s going to be bad.

Unprecedented hurricanes? In 1893, 12 hurricanes formed in the Atlantic, 5 were category 3 or higher (8 total hit the east coast) when CO2 was below 300ppm. Hurricane #3 through 7 (5 hurricanes) all overlapped in Aug & Sept. history sucks.
