1/of many: A family member had a medical emergency this week that landed them in the ICU. It was a jarring experience for me, not only as their loved one, but as a health tech PM becoming an end user going through the patient / caregiver journey.

Please do not spread misleading/unverified information about . The best news you can share right now is the real threat and 10,000+ deaths in the U.S. from the seasonal flu. Get your flu shot, wash your hands, and don't spread this fearmongering stuff.

When an employer gives you a stock package, always ask 1) Is this the price at the last raise or 409a? 2) When is the next 409a? 3) What is the liquidation preference stack? 4) What is the vesting schedule and exercise window?

This is great practice. I 100% introduce founders fundraising to firms I interact with in their efforts to support the startup employee ecosystem.

Attn VCs looking for differentiation for better deal flow: Now’s the perfect time to come up with a strategy to become “employee-friendly” on top of “founder-friendly.” I have so many ideas. For free! My DMs are open.

From the 90's to the 20's, communicating with my family in India has constantly changed. Going from blue India Post letters, to calling cards bought at bodegas, to whatsapp, to facetime. I spoke to about how I've stayed in touch with family back home.

Our HC system never learns that incentives matter. Look at value based care, we've made the greatest strides when providers have to take on downside risk. If you don't penalize blocking the free flow of patient information, interoperability won't happen.

I'm inclined to share a few thoughts on this (rather nauseating) news, having worked at Practice Fusion for a couple of yrs, though not when this episode occurred. As notes, PF has become a bit of a cautionary tale. Perhaps there are useful lessons in that tale. 1/n

So America will no longer be the only place where unlikely dreams can be realized and will instead become a private club? Doesn’t this go against the very spirit of our miracle and story as a (still) young nation?
