APA welcomes singular “they” ~ "Writers should use singular “they”: (a) when referring to a generic person whose gender is unknown or irrelevant to the context and (b) when referring to a specific, known person who uses “they” as their pronoun."

and early morning teaching don't make it any easier to my rhythm to the dark Swedish days. I try to expose myself to bright in every break and go for walks outside. Any other tips to battle the short days in the higher latitudes?😴

Haven't ruled out lack of coffee or packing stress either... 😅 But two more days and then it's time for some proper self-care! Bye bye headache!

Signs you need a break: * loosing interesting in things you’re usually passionate about and bring you joy * short temper and easy to provoke * taking everything personally * constant overthinking * emotionally overwhelmed * always exhausted/tired Take care friends. Take a break.

There's more to research than Impact Factors. As you see, if you don't get published high, it doesn't mean that your findings will have no impact!

This year's Nobel Prize on oxygen sensing was awarded for papers published in ~5 different journals. HIF was first identified in a paper in MCB, and its purification was reported in JBC. Groundbreaking work is not determined by a journal's impact factor.

This really is the cutest proposal I've seen! It's so important to honor our loved ones, whom support us through all highs and lows of our career! Wishing them all happiness together 😊

Spent the last week learning to decipher and score polysomnography recordings. Never thought I could learn so much in so little time, and doesn't this just look suuuper cool?! Let the scoring begin!

This is absolutely fascinating. and colleagues were able to deduce bed and rise times of Swedish geophysicist Olof Hiorter in 1746 and 1747, based on his documented observations document hourly during his hours of wakefulness.
