I agree that some would become disincentivized that they couldn't make $1 billion. But wouldn't this allow for the opportunity for more to make $10 million? Enabling the American Dream for more, would be the goal - not satiating imaginations that is only a reality for the few.

But if they capped on how much money they were "allowed" to have then how would the money be taken out of their pockets and distributed? They'd have to get used to taxes, but garnishing wages just feels like the wrong incentive here. They'd probably just move somewhere else

You're right. Which is why I said humanity, and not "the US". For clarity, properly taxing the rich is a better plan, as it is more achievable. But to your point, they'd just find a tax haven somewhere else. Our priorities shouldn't be bullied down by hypotheticals.
