I've heard various reports from people I trust that Signal is compromised. Any comments/thoughts/reliable rumors?
The encryption of Signal (=WhatsApp, FB) was funded by the US Government. I predict a backdoor will be found there within 5 years from now.

this misunderstands how cryptography is evaluated. the criticisms of Tor are known and have been enumerated from Day 1. Signal is clean.
