Hi all. Do you have picture(s) of tablets of Eshnunna Laws or Tang Code (China) or other ancient legal codes for possible journal cover (Nature Hum Beh)? You'll get picture credit of course. If yes, please DM me. Thanks! Pls RT

'Learn to code' assumes speaker knows how to code. Yet, coding as far as I can tell is really just knowing how to search for examples on Google & then copying & pasting. If you say 'learn to code', maybe encourage the audience by telling them this deep dark secret of coding

Getting a PhD is supposed to make you an expert in one specific thing, but I've mostly just discovered how bad I am at almost all the things.

Anyone have recs for learning how to deal with [what to me are] very large datasets (e.g., > 15GB)? Can't even read into R to select variables or sample rows

And if the thought of really realistic - but fake - faces freaks you out, check out the Oslo Face Database, which can be requested for free on my website: Especially useful for eye-tracking research as we share our hand made AOIs too.

If you use faces in your research, here's a database for you. Now we just need someone to start a database of metadata ratings (attractiveness, expression, etc) of the faces to maximize usability of a shared resource.
