One last thing for now: I don't believe in censorship, and while I support those demanding Victura do better, I doubt their course is going to change. So, what can we do? As I was told by many of those I interviewed: support the games the Arab/Muslim/ME communities are making.

So many of the folks I've spoken to and seen speaking out are making such beautiful, exciting things, but so often the folks making them only get attention when they're talking about their trauma. They deserve so much better than that.

I'm not going to highlight anyone now cuz the discourse is rather nasty atm and I don't want to put a target on anyone. But I am working to ensure I am spotlighting the amazing work coming out of these communities more often going forward. I hope others will too.
