A-Level is, UK 'college', but it's like, between high school and university? Age 16-18. idk what the US equivalent would be, if there even would be one? In the UK you finish compulsory school at 16 with 'GCSEs', but then before degrees you have to go get 3-5 A-Levels.

The US doesn't really have an equivalent. A LEVELS are a qualification in junior and senior year, where as in the US you just kinda have your high school diploma and then AP classes as an additional thing

A-levels are kind of the subjects you chose to specialize in during high school? You take an exam at the end of final year in each subject, and that forms the basis of your application to university. So I guess the SAT Subject Tests would be the closest

in NZ it was "school cert" taking at year 3, and then "bursaries" taken in year 5, with a minimum of 3 C grades across your 5-6 subjects to get general uni entrance. But it's all changed since then.
