I didn't really dig into what I meant in the original tweet but my thinking is not limited to legal fights or guidelines, but rather I do not imagine Apple allows lots of competitors to make piles of money this way through its app without putting *some* catch to it eventually
If everyone starts using this workaround I believe eventually Apple will find a way to make it harder for them to do so, or to enforce it getting a cut. There are a number of ways they could accomplish that that uphold the guidelines quoted above.
I understand. But if they changed course on this, it would have to be the result of a change to some contract term somewhere, and right now they've encouraged folks to build web apps. Once reliance and express language come into play, legal (and popular) exposure goes up.
