People who refuse to take me seriously. I can't begin to tell ya'll how many times I hear 'are you nervous?' or 'did you forget your own name?' when I stutter over my own name. When I was younger, I listened to podcasts about video games and loving the discussions and-3/?

insights of industry vets and journalists. But, I don't remember hearing a lot of women on those podcasts. Through my want and desire to do that, my fear of my stuttering always got in the way and I never attempted, never tried to do my own thing, I pushed it to the back of-4/?

And take away from my desire to speak about what I love, video games. As I was talking to my therapist today about everything, she told me that perhaps, people will watch and see someone with a speech impediment, and get inspired, and honestly, I hope that happens. I want to-6/?

Show people that stutter, or have other speech impediments, that whatever you live with should never be the stop for you doing whatever you love. It will probably take awhile, as it did me, but once you overcome that obstacle, so many doors will start to open. I always-7/?

wanted to get myself out there. Not by resumes, which obviously I still do, but put /myself/ out there. Want to be a voice and a face who is passionate about gaming, representation in gaming, for everybody. And I am so honored and humbled that I was given the chance.
