gently: if there are no nice, standard, rectangular images in your asset folders, I am going to have to find assets for your thing on my own, and unless you have screenshots on a Steam page somewhere, despite my best efforts, this probably means you won't like the images I use

When I did stuff, I always took my own screenshots from my 1tb screenshot folder, or I'd just go to the steam page when possible. On the dev side of things, how many screenshots you want in a press kit, for future reference?

I know you're not asking me but 8 is nice. Not too many but you've got some choices.

I'm a biz journo so I can usually do with fewer, 4-5 if I'm doing a feature, two is honestly enough for a news story. More always great so we can choose more relevant ones though. Consumer sites will likely want more. And we do often save them for use later.

I appreciate this! Any way we can avoid the problem of people constantly reusing old screenshots a year+ after we announce the game? Not a problem for me NOW, but

probably not totally, but consistently sending new ones and making it clear in the press release "hey we have some NEW ASSETS, better than before, please consider using those" can help so we're not just digging into our folders automatically. I personally look for new ones first
