the revelation from today isn't that games journalism doesn't pay anyone well. it's that games journalism doesn't pay the vast majority enough at all, and the handful it pays a comfortable amount to are almost entirely white and male.

pick a site or two you really like and, if you can, subscribe/donate/whatever to help fund them. find the writers you love who are non-men and people of color and boost their stuff often. that's all I can think of. it's mostly on people with power, not people without, sadly.

also, I should say, try to support sites with more sustainable models that are both 1) paying their writers and 2) not being run by rich billionaires who don't give a shit about good journalism. I like
