like there's nothing in here saying why they're making this. just that they're going to accurately represent it or whatever. I'm not saying there isn't an answer, just that it's irresponsible to use mental illness as marketing

Ninja theory has proven to me they take these ideas seriously. I understand the caution over something feeling exploitative but that's not the vibe I'd argue Hellblade improved the conversation about mental health and offered perspective unique to the art form of games.

They worked with health professionals, put proper warnings before the game, and talked at length with sufferers about their experiences. They even included a short documentary in the game. I think they handled the material with as much respect and professionalism as possible.
