I will be listening and can summarize in a bit if there is anything additional to this press release. I must say, a good bit of this comes as a surprise to me. I still think Breakpoint can bounce back over time, though this start is under my expectations.

Ubisoft: Delays are related to wanting additional polish and allowing the teams time to finish development. "Still very confident in these games." Unrelated to competitor release landscape. (Pretty standard stuff here. And I always thought Watch Dogs Legion was ambitious.)

Watch Dogs Legion and Gods & Monsters are anticipated between Q2 & Q3 of fiscal 2020-21. So: July 2020 to December 2020. Will also have an additional two AAA games from its biggest franchises, plus Skull & Bones still expected for fiscal 2020-21. (That is.. a lot of games.)

Ubisoft: Based on what I'm hearing from Yves Guillemot is that sales of Division 2 and Breakpoint were impacted by the longer tail of their predecessors, plus them being similar (which is a delicate balance). Which means we should expect larger gaps between games in the future.

Ubisoft: Answering a question on if gamers are "rebelling" against monetization. Revenue linked more to engagement & game events, keeping them around longer. Then, they do spend from time to time. The goal is to allow people to play a game without ever paying. "No pay-to-win."

Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot on Breakpoint: "We understand that the store was too big. Not really appreciated at all." Still, players were spending both time and money there. The goal was to give people more choice. (I don't know what to make of this. It sounds contradictory.)

Ubisoft: Answering a question on if any other games were pushed beyond March 2021. Only Skull & Bones was moved out past this point. (I think one of my earlier tweets was misleading before. Trying to type fast. S&B definitely sounds like a 2021-22 fiscal title.)

Ubisoft on Watch Dogs Legion: It's been well-received in previews. A lot of potential. Innovative. Could be a "game changer." Confident in the team in developing this sort of title. (I'm thinking more and more this sounds like a next generation launch game. Right?)

Ubisoft on learnings from The Division 2: The belief is that a lot of things, namely gameplay, went the right way. But it didn't have a more "unique" identity from the first. Characters. Settings that are a lot more attractive. Plus, should have given more time to the team.

Ubisoft: Challenged by an analyst on the quality assurance on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, given its bugs & fan complaints. Playtests were positive before launch. Been a surprise. (I'm near speechless at the heat level of questions here.) (Also, man, games are freakin' hard.)
