So one of the fun things about cooking through these cookbooks is that at least once or twice per cookbook I learn something about food availability that I did not otherwise know. In the WoW Cookbook, I learned that true haggis is banned in the US!
I had to check to make sure, but yup, my grandpa had a blackcurrant bush at his house. :) I have a fond memory of one summer picking dozens and making pies with my family. My aunts and mom treated them as something very special and I never realized why it was such a big deal.

I'm sure there's something similar that isn't permitted in the UK. Though I can't believe that thing could be the basis for anything as delicious as a blackcurrant jam, clotted cream scone

I know the joke is that the UK doesn't really have fantastic cuisine but damn you all do sweets and baked goods like none other.
