So one of the fun things about cooking through these cookbooks is that at least once or twice per cookbook I learn something about food availability that I did not otherwise know. In the WoW Cookbook, I learned that true haggis is banned in the US!

Yep. This is unfortunate. Blackcurrants are the very best fruit for jam, also coulis and such. See also Ribena, which is/was a vastly popular blackcurrant drink in the UK. Really blows my mind that they aren't allowed in the US
