Anyway this week I bought a bit packet of pork ends and pieces from the store for less than five bucks. This is very cheap meat, there is nothing special about it, but it can feed me dinner for a week. So, as I wondered how I might spice it up, I had an idea.

The first night, I followed roughly the recipe for Shoveltusk Steak in the WoW cookbook. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, "northern spices" (includes juniper, ginger, cardamom), sear each side in butter, add red wine and finish cooking, reduce main liquid to make sauce.

It was so amazing, the second night I decided to have a bit of fun. I did WoW Cookbook Autumnal Herbs (rosemary, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, thyme, etc) and instead of red wine, added cider for the sauce. Omg!!!!

Last night, I went for Stormcloak Seasoning (white pepper, dill, mustard powder, fennel) and white wine. I was a bit cautious about this one but it made the nicest, tangiest sauce.pic.twitter.com/trLbPkSvHo

Anyway, not sure where to go from here. I could try Imperial Seasoning with something I guess? But regardless this was a fun educational experience on seasoning meat and I'm glad I had a way to make cheap as hell pork more interesting. Thanks
