I think there's still a lot of reasons to be skeptical about Stadia, but I think having that many major publishers on board at launch (even with older games) is meaningful. If they all see something there, there is probably something there.
It will definitely matter more next week, if we see games coming to PC exclusively on Stadia at all. But I don't think that support from publishers, however "easy" it may be, is meaningless.

Yeah, they have their own first party, which is where the service is going to live and die. But the developers I've talked to who have committed their games to Stadia have all talked about how little it requires and how Google essentially does all the work.

Even that's meaningful though, right? If it's that much easier to be on Stadia than on other platforms, it bodes well for the service having a solid library going forward, which is one of admittedly multiple components to it doing well over time.
