This was a frustrating read. When asked about crunch, E3, loot boxes, the WHO's addition of gaming disorder to its compendium, and the Variety report, Pierre-Louis downplays everything, then says the most important thing the ESA can do is make video games seem nice and positivehttps://twitter.com/GIBiz/status/1127974289796358145 …

also, with Sony and others departing E3, it seems (esp if you check that excellent Variety piece) that trust in the ESA to get this shit right is starting to erode somewhat. Wishy-washy nonsense like this isn't going to keep publishers in.

I haven't read the Variety piece yet, so I can't speak on that part. I just don't expect them to get their out of the sand until there are committees and broad national attention like when Night Trap and MK came out. :/

I know that, but you are talking about a capitalistic system that has been driven-by short-term gains for shareholders trump long-term viability. Incentives was the wrong word, but the capitalistic dogma these corps operate under is antithetical to those actions.

At least I have little hope of EA or Activision course correcting. I think Ubi and junk could and are slowly getting there. Sorry for the rant.
