@InnAtCrossroads Hey, sorry to bug you, but do you mind advising on the Meadow Rye Bread? It says across the top "Rising: 2 hours" but there is no yeast in the recipe and the instructions seem to indicate it goes straight from kneading to the oven. Does it...need to rise? O_O

Of COURSE! Sorry about that- the rising is a vestige from a previous incarnation of the recipe. No rising required! :)

OH THANK GOODNESS. I was super worried (cuz, uh, I didn't ask til it was already in the oven ;) yay for bread that doesn't require rising! My apartment's weird temperatures make that tough to get consistent anyway. Thanks so much!!

Haha, mine too! We just got snow, so no meringues for a while, and any yeasted dough has to rise in the warm oven. I found with that recipe that the rye was just too finicky for a yeasted version, but I really liked the final version!

Yeah I've been struggling with the rye dough (my first time using it, my rye crisps turned out...funny), but this one turned out to be nice and easy to work with. Also it's baking now and SMELLS FANTASTIC. Dat beer and buttermilk.
