Really wish Windows had a thing that popped up saying 'Yep, definitely fully booted now. No more applications loading, nothing that will suddenly get in the way of what you're trying to do. You may actually start using me now. (And apologies it took more than 10 minutes)'

Not to be the young whippersnapper asking you if you've turned it off and on again, but does your computer have an SSD or a regular hard drive?

agh, laptops! That complicates matters. Well, if you ever feel brave enough to disassemble it via Internet guide (or have a friend good with computers), putting your Windows on a solid state drive would almost entirely solve this problem.

I am absolutely not brave enough for that, but thanks.

I did it for my desktop last year and now it boots and loads everything almost instantly, but with a desktop it's just opening the case and plugging some stuff in and then a brief trip to BIOS. Laptop you have to unscrew things, so yeah, don't think I'd be brave enough either. :(
