If youāve decided to charge $500/minute of finished music and you have a gig where you know they canāt pay that much but you want to do it anyway, thatās okay. But you tell them, āFor 3 minutes I would charge $1500, but I believe in this project so Iāll do $100/minute.ā (2/2)

Fellow composers: A good habit to get into is always sticking to your guns regarding your price. Thatās not to say you canāt give a discount, but you are the first person who needs to believe how much your music is worth. (1/2)
