    Important thread. A reminder that there’s not a pipeline problem, but a lack of infrastructure for entry level talent.

    I start a new job as a Software engineer at Ticketmaster today. It may not mean much to you, but it means a lot to me because of what it took to get here: It took trying to launch two tech companies & failing back in the early 2010’s.

    Advice for conf speakers: When someone you care for is speaking, sit in the first row. Be there for them. Laugh at their jokes, _actually_ watch the talk (Twitter can wait), make yourself visible for them. Be the audience you'd like to have, and next time you will have it.
