That is NOT what defunding the police means - this is a bad faith argument. The police will not be abolished nor should they be. That said there shouldn't be investment support for matters better handled by mental health pros, their should be a general demilitarization etc. Stop

Evidently you do not....no one wants to abolish the police, they just want to re-direct some of the resources they have elsewhere...police don't need tanks and they aren't equipped to be social workers...that is it...no conspiracy here.

Defunding police means what I / others said, but yes I saw the video...I can't say what the crowd meant, but the exchange felt unfair to Frey. We can't abolish the police and it is misguided for anyone to suggest that...LA cutting $150M to the police budget is a start though...

You and I will probably never be in a situation where we fear for our lives and that of our friends / family on a constant basis due to the color of our skin. I don't support looting, but I also can't relate to feeling hunted / persecuted.
