    Great session, found it really useful to work through a facilitated discussion of some real-world examples with a room of experts (who didn’t always agree...). Some excellent resources shared and some interesting Q&As in the comments.

    Ran out of time on scenario 4 but main points are post-interview debriefs from interviewers and retrospectively checking summaries. And negotiation/communication between archive & interviewees. Difference between interviewee's closures and archival risk assessments.

    Conflict of interest between academics (who want publications and work to ethics committees) and archivists whose job it is to store and provide access to oral histories. Crucial point is informed agreement is between interviewer and interviewee.

    Archiving in the public interest exemption means archives don't have to delete anything. Ever. The issue is how, when and where to provide access.

    Had a brilliant time volunteering yesterday at . The stories of what Elaine, daughter Ngozi and cousin Elizabeth have contributed to the NHS are really inspirational. The snowball effect at its best.
